Indie Filmmaking Tips & Tricks 3: Cheap Fixes
Indie Filmmaking Tips & Tricks 3: Cheap Fixes from Ryan Gielen on Vimeo.
Indie filmmaking tips and tricks from the set of The Graduates. (dir Ryan Gielen) Cheap fixes: duct tape, food coloring, sand bags... You use what you have. On The Graduates I had a lot of big ideas that had to be shrunk down to match our budget. Luckily I was surrounded by really clever people. On this particular night, our gaffer Jarrod came to the rescue creating a "closet" with a c-stand, a beach chair, and a tiny light source. Mix them all up and boom: we have a closet door with slits big enough for our pervert character to stare through. Check it out.
